John's page

John Lang, guitar and vocalist extraordinaire, started playing guitar in 1968 whilst still at school, where he formed his first band with fellow schoolmates. Since then he has played with almost every rock musician and group in Plymouth, including 'Sweet life', 'Quarry', 'Ricky's Red Rockers', 'Canyon', 'The Octave Doctors', 'Larry & The Lilos' (and their alter-ego 'Viv & The Sections'), 'Time & Motion', 'The Barracudas', 'The Cadillac's', not to mention 'Medicine Bow', 'The Pheasant Pluckers', 'The Dodgers' and 'The Band That Time Forgot'.  He has also played in nearly every pub, club and outhouse in the Plymouth area, as well as performing at several gigs in our fair Capital (London not Manchester).  Besides playing in bands, he sings and writes his own music, and has previously been found doing solo and session work, recording with a variety of musical ensembles. He is a strong link in the 'Le Band' chain, using his musical talents to keep the rest of the band in check (oh well... it's a dirty job but someone has to do it!)
